You could substitue V-Ups instead of doing the classic sit up. There is less pressure on your rear, less pressure on your lower back, they are more effective, and they also target your lower abs as well which is a trouble area for most people.

If you don’t know what a V-up is I’ll explain:

Lay flat with your head and feet elevated about 4-6 inches off the ground and with your arms stretched back behind your head. Simply lift your legs straight up (without bending them) at the same time attempt to touch your toes.

This has a “crunch” affect and will target all areas with the exception of maybe the obliques. Give them a try and feel the burn somewhere besides your bum!
