[…] Dylan got a “Gi” for Christmas.  It’s the name for a karate uniform.  The belt gets tied a certain way.  It’s very important to learn.  I learned how online this morning before class.  Dylan takes Karate very seriously.  He tried extra hard today, because he now has the outfit.  At the end of class, he was called into Mr. Miller’s office.  There is a big window, so parents can see the kids in the office.  Dylan looked pretty nervous and serious.  He came out and everyone clapped.  He had earned his first black stripe!  He was so proud!  Everyone congratulated him and High 5′ed him.  It was a great after-Christmas Day!
